Sunrise Tours staff

Shelby Moll
Shelby was born and raised in Mascoutah, IL. One of her biggest passions is playing and now coaching Softball. Softball is what led her to the University of Northern Iowa where she graduated in 1999. UNI is also where she and Kristen became friends and why she is a part of Sunrise today! She is married to her husband, Daniel and they have two children, Carson, 3 and Mallory, 3 months. She has worked as the office manager at Sunrise tours for 10 years. She is the voice you hear when you call in for questions or to make reservations! “ I love being the first step to helping someone take their dream vacation…I have so many pleasant conversations with people because they are genuinely excited about traveling with us and I love being the person that can help them get there!” says Shelby.

Joanne Cohn
After a long hiatus from the travel industry, Joanne joined the Sunrise Tours family as a tour planner. Developing tours that entice and appeal to our customers is a goal for Joanne as well as our company. Previously Joanne worked as Director of Sales and Marketing for a group of full service hotels in the southwest and was active in the local, state and regional tourism industry. She has traveled the country and many parts of the world throughout her life and enjoys living vicariously through Sunrise Tour offerings. From the sands of the beaches, the cliffs above the oceans, the lush green forests and rugged mountains to the skyscrapers, city lights, quaint villages, and historic or quirky museums and galleries, she looks forward to developing adventures and leisure tours for your enjoyment.

Brent Dalrymple
Brent graduated from Washington University with degrees in finance and economics in 1996. He played varsity basketball at Wash U all four years. Upon graduation he worked three years for Andersen Consulting and four years on the bond trading desk of a money management firm before joining Sunrise Tours in 2003. He manages the Sunrise Tours marketing efforts, motorcoach charter relationships and tour managing staff. His favorite destination to take Sunrise Travelers is New York City because he says, “There is nothing like seeing the amazement on the face of someone visiting New York City for the first time.”

Charlene Dalrymple
You might say Charlene has been in travel mode since she was born. As a child growing up she lived in the states of California, Washington, Texas, Michigan, Rhode Island, Indiana and Ohio and enjoyed camping or cottage stays in various locations on family vacations. After spending a summer in Norway as an AFS student during high school then graduating from Muskingum College with her elementary teaching degree, she married Jim Dalrymple and again was on the move living in Ohio, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, before settling in St. Louis in 1984. As a mother, teacher, and Girl Scout leader, she has encouraged and shared her love of travel in the USA and as a tour planner and tour manager with Sunrise Tours; she loves the opportunity to continue to do so with others eager to travel.

Jim Dalrymple
Jim was born a young man and grew older in a small coal mining town in Ohio. Through hard work and many hours of study, he along with his future wife, Charlene, graduated from Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio. He joined Equitable Life of New York upon graduation and remained with them until the early 1990′s. Jim and Charlene were faced with a decision at this point. Jim could continue his work as a Divisional Group Manager which necessitated a move, or stay in St. Louis. Jim and Charlene decided to stay in St. Louis and begin new career paths. Sunrise Tours was born in 1994. Please travel with Sunrise Tours and learn the “rest of the story.”

Kristen Dalrymple
Kristen graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in economics with an emphasis in business analysis in 1999, where she also played softball. Her graduation coincided with a time when Sunrise Tours was experiencing a period of rapid growth, so Jim and Charlene offered her a position. Thus began her career with Sunrise. While she has held many different roles and responsibilities, she currently manages day to day operations and finances. Having a personal passion for travel, she loves to hear excitement from travelers about the things they’ve seen or done while on a Sunrise tour.

Pat Greene
Pat Greene retired from teaching in 1996, and while she loved teaching, she enjoys tour managing even better. Pat gets to do the fun part of the trip, traveling on the coach with the passengers. She has jokes, games, and videos that she shares with them. Pat makes a wicked Fuzzy Navel! She enjoys the trips and the interesting things they see and do, but the part that she enjoys the most is the passengers. “They make each trip different even though I may have done the trip several times. I really do not think of it as a job. I think of each trip as another wonderful adventure!!” says Pat.
Emily was born and raised in Jefferson City, MO. In 2001 she moved to her family’s roots in the Saint Louis area to pursue her interest in holistic health in 2001. After serving 12 years in the medical community, she has started a new path in the travel industry. Emily holds a Bachelor’s degree in Film Production from Webster University and is also a Licensed Massage Therapist. She loves seeing her family and friends, promoting health and wellness, and traveling especially to the country of Panama. “Sunrise has become a wonderful new home for me and I love helping our travelers visit new and exciting places. There couldn’t be a better group of people to work with than everyone here at Sunrise Tours!”

Deb Morse
Deb spent 30 years teaching fourth, fifth and sixth grade students. She loved interacting with kids, and watching them learn and grow each year. After retiring from teaching she missed the daily stimulation and excitement of the classroom, and then she found Sunrise Tours. She has now replaced those 10 year old students with wonder-filled senior travelers. She enjoys the excitement shared with travelers as they watch the sun set over the Pacific Ocean, visit the fabulous Biltmore estate, or see the glory of the Grand Canyon. Deb has been a tour manager for Sunrise since 2002. She love’s the travelers and the sights they see, but Deb especially enjoys the time they spend together on the coach. Deb loves getting to know all of you, she loves happy hours (can you say Fuzzy Navel?), and she loves to find things to laugh about.

Dave Moss
After guiding and serving families for 42 years during the worst times of their lives, retired funeral director Dave Moss is now guiding and serving clients for fun and adventure at Sunrise Tours. Dave and his wife Maura are the proud parents of 5 children and 7 grandchildren.

Carol Pauk
Carol Pauk is in her 11th year at Sunrise Tours as Tour Manager. Her love of travel began at an early age when she and her parents piled into the family car and took off for points unknown. Prior to changing careers into travel and tourism, Carol worked in the Education Dept. at Washington University counseling students on their needed coursework in preparation for careers in teaching. What she likes best about her job as Tour Manager is twofold 1) the great team of tour planners in the office who are very creative and innovative in planning each itinerary, ensuring that all goes well for us on the road, and 2) helping customers experience and enjoy the wonderful sights and scenery of our beautiful country. And –oh, one more thing, serving all those delicious “fuzzy navels.” Jim gave her the recipe!!!

Debbie Robertson
Debbie joined Sunrise Tours in Feb. 2007 after her twin children started elementary school. After a tour is completed, it thrills her when a traveler shares how much they relished a tour or how a particular destination is unforgettable. Prior to Sunrise Tours, Debbie worked for St. Anthony’s Medical Center in Recruitment and Human Resources Systems, several years in the travel industry with Maritz Travel Co. as well as working for her husband at Farmers Insurance. Debbie holds a magna cum laude BSBA from the University of MO-St. Louis and currently resides in South St. Louis County. Debbie and her husband, Scott, have 4 wonderful children, a dog and a gerbil. She treasures time with her family and likes to relax by gardening and reading. Debbie wishes you many cherished memories with Sunrise Tours…and don’t forget to pack your camera!

Jan Schroer
Jan Schroer has been a tour manager with Sunrise Tours for over 6 years. She lives on a cattle farm with her husband, Rob, near Montgomery City, MO. They have a daughter, Angie, and two grandchildren, Isabella and Jacob. Jan and Rob took their first motor coach tour in 1993 and became “hooked” on group travel. Jan retired from a 29 year career as an elementary teacher to concentrate on traveling. After one tour with Sunrise Tours, she started talking to Jim about a job and took her first trip with us in June 2004. She enjoys directing tours but more importantly loves helping the passengers enjoy seeing and discovering new destinations. Jan can’t wait to get the passenger list for each tour and loves seeing names of folks she has enjoyed traveling with before. “I got into tour managing because I love to travel, but it is the people that keep me traveling,” Jan has said.
Bruce graduated from Webster University with a degree in Media Communications in 2009. He developed a travel bug during a semester abroad in Holland where he and his future wife to be traveled all across Europe during their stay. His favorite place to visit a small town in The Netherlands called Leiden where he lived while abroad. Bruce is the newest member at Sunrise Tours and says, “I am very excited to join this wonderful team! After experiencing a Sunrise Tour and meeting so many amazing people, I cannot wait to plan my first tour.”
Christine is thrilled to be a part of the Sunrise Tours team as both a tour planner and a tour escort. She enjoys all aspects of both parts of her job, but would have to say sharing memorable travel experiences with our customers is her favorite. “Sunrise Tours really has the best customers and we have so much fun traveling together!” Christine and her husband Scott enjoy riding on their recumbent bicycles and Harley motorcycle. Her family brings her great joy and they are proud of each of their 8 children. Christine enjoys most of all being a hands-on grandmother to 15 her grandchildren.

Sharon Woodburn
Sharon Woodburn manages the Indianapolis office and is usually “the voice” on the other end of the line when you call to make reservations. She also accompanies many of the Indy trips and likes getting to know our travelers personally. Having come from a 20 year teaching career, she enjoys the continuous learning and participating in the amazing variety of tasks involved with the travel business—planning, shopping, packing, studying maps, just to name a few. Whenever he can, her husband, Terry, accompanies her in her Sunrise adventures. Most importantly, Sharon agrees that it is fun to work with people who are excited about travelling and enriching their lives. She always looks forward to a fun day on the road!
