DAY 2: PIONEER WOMAN MERCANTILE
Head to Pawhuska, OK, the home of food blogger-turned-Food Network star Ree Drummond. After a guided city tour with a local expert, spend the morning exploring the Pioneer Woman Mercantile Store featuring a bakery, deli and general store filled with Ree’s favorite goods and comfort foods – keep an eye out for Ladd or one of the kids who may be working during our visit! Try one of Ree’s signature iced coffees or homemade cinnamon rolls before continuing to Texas for a dinner and a three-night stay in downtown Dallas. B, D
DAY 3: WACO, TX
We’re off to Waco, the home of HGTV’s Fixer Upper power duo, Chip & Joanna Gaines. Spend the morning exploring Magnolia Market, in the shadow of the Magnolia Silos. Visit the beautifully designed gardens and garden shop, enjoy Joanna’s personal recipes at the Silos Baking Co. and shop for modern farmhouse home goods. Hop aboard the Silo District Trolley to tour downtown Waco. Take a tour of the Waco area’s past remodeled homes featured on Fixer Upper, and Harp Design Co. before returning to Dallas for dinner at a local favorite. B, D
DAY 4: DALLAS, TX
Join a local expert for a guided tour of Dallas, including Dealey Plaza Historic District and the JFK Memorial. Visit the campus of SMU to tour the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, featuring Freedom Hall and the 9/11 Memorial exhibit. Enjoy an evening of leisure in Dallas’ West Village, the city’s most walk-able shopping, dining and entertainment district. B, L
DAY 5: LITTLE ROCK, AR
Continue to Little Rock, AR for a visit to the Clinton Presidential Library and Museum, followed by an evening at Edgemont House with nationally known home and garden guru and landscape designer, Chris Olsen. Stroll through the formal gardens filled with spring blooms, tour the historic Spanish Colonial Revival home and enjoy dinner on the veranda before a private presentation by Chris. Orange luggage tags are provided and are to be placed on your “checked luggage” (large bag). You do not need a tag for your carry-on bag, for which you will be responsible for taking on and off the coach. There is limited space in the cabin of the coach, so unless you require your carry-on bag while traveling, we will stow it in the luggage compartment.
New reservations will require a $250 per person deposit unless otherwise noted. As always, your deposit is still fully refundable for any reason until final payment. We are happy to accept cash, check (preferred) or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover) for your deposit.
Throughout 2021 we limited capacity on all our tours. This policy was so overwhelmingly popular by Sunrise travelers, we have made it permanent. In 2022 and beyond, we will limit the capacity on our motorcoaches to 80%. Most Sunrise Tours travel on 50-seat coaches with extra legroom, which means guests will enjoy extra legroom AND at least 6-8 empty seats. In the rare cases when we charter a 55-seat coach, there will be at least 10 open seats on the bus.
Our popular on-board refreshment service on travel days will feature a variety of soda, beer, wine spritzers, juices and sparkling water choices served in recyclable aluminum cans. This is a safe and eco-conscious way for us to deliver the ever-popular Sunrise Tours “happy hour” on tour. We do not typically serve bottled water and ask that while on tour you be responsible for your own hydration and consider the Sunrise Tours drink service a welcome refreshment.
