DAY 1: FLY TO DENVER

Arrive and enjoy dinner at Sunrise favorite Edelweiss German Restaurant in Colorado Springs. D

DAY 2: GREAT SAND DUNES NATIONAL PARK

Visit Fort Garland Museum & Cultural Center and learn about the history of America’s expansion into the west. Continue to Great Sand Dunes National Park, featuring North America’s tallest sand dunes. At over 750 feet high, these incredible dunes are taller than the Gateway Arch and twice the height of the Statue of Liberty. Overnight in Alamosa. B, L

DAY 3: BLACK CANYON OF THE GUNNISON NATIONAL PARK

Travel through scenic central Colorado and across the Continental Divide to Black

Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, named for how little sunlight reaches the floor of the steep canyon. Enjoy the breathtaking view at Gunnison Point, over 2,700 feet up from the Gunnison River. This remote park remains one of the hidden gems in the National Park System, lesser-known and lesser-visited than most other parks in the continental United States. Check in for 2-nights in Montrose. DAY 4: TELLURIDE

Spend the day at one of the great mountain towns in the Rockies, Telluride. Enjoy plenty of time to explore the historic downtown strip before heading up the Telluride Gondola to almost 10,000 feet elevation. At the top enjoy the modern community of Mountain Village, a registered city of Colorado first incorporated in 1995. Enjoy European-style architecture, shops, and restaurants at the top of the Rocky Mountains. B, D

DAY 5: CANYON COUNTRY

Continue West and watch as the rugged mountain peaks transform into majestic red rocks. Arrive in Moab, UT for time to explore its classic downtown area before a guided tour through the dramatic scenes of Canyonlands National Park. Stop at iconic Dead Horse Point, the backdrop of movies like Thelma & Louise and Mission Impossible II. Add an optional evening trip down the Colorado River aboard the Sound & Light Show (added expense). B, D

DAY 6: ARCHES NATIONAL PARK, ALL ABOARD!

Tour the world-famous Arches National Park. Our expert guide will explain the geological forces that resulted in over 2,000 sandstone arches being formed in this area, and the park’s incredible human history. “All-Aboard” the luxurious Rocky Mountaineer train for an afternoon departure. Enjoy Silver Leaf Plus service including access to the lounge car, additional viewing areas, and elevated dining service. Follow incredible scenic views to Glenwood Springs for an overnight stay. DAY 7: GLENWOOD SPRINGS TO DENVER

Enjoy a two-course hot breakfast aboard the train as you follow the path of the Colorado River eastward toward Denver. Travel in comfort as you dine on a three-course, regionally inspired lunch from the comfort of your seat while hosts captivate you with stories of the region. Take in views of picturesque Byers Canyon as you approach your destination. After two days of first-class comfort, service, and cuisine, disembark in Denver. B, L
