Brent graduated from Washington University with degrees in finance and economics in 1996. He played varsity basketball at Wash U all four years. Upon graduation, he worked three years for Andersen Consulting and four years on the bond trading desk of a money management firm before joining Sunrise Tours in 2003. In 2013 Brent and his sister Kristen purchased Sunrise Tours from parents Jim and Charlene when they retired. In 2020, Brent purchased Kristen's shares in Sunrise and purchased tour operator Country Travel Discoveries of Elm Grove, WI. Brent has a wife, Heather, daughter, Greer, and a fluffy Bernedoodle, Winston.
