DAY 2: TEMPLE SQUARE

Don’t miss your chance to explore the Salt Lake Temple from the inside! For the first time since 1893, this sacred architectural masterpiece will open its doors to the public. DAY 3: SALT LAKE CITY TO MOAB

All aboard the Canyon Spirit for a breathtaking three-day luxury train adventure. Travel along stunning landscapes, through the historic Thistle Tunnels, and over Soldier Summit. Follow the dramatic curves of Price River Canyon before arriving in Moab, a desert town alive with color, charm, and unforgettable scenery. Take in the sunset, wander the streets, and let the adventure continue. B, L

DAY 4: MOAB TO GLENWOOD SPRINGS

Enjoy an optional morning visit to Arches National Park or take time to relax in Moab’s desert beauty. Depart in the early afternoon aboard the Canyon Spirit and delight in a freshly prepared lunch and dinner as the train winds across the Utah-Colorado border. Dramatic mountain vistas and rolling landscapes set the stage for your arrival in the welcoming resort town of Glenwood Springs. B, L, D

DAY 5: GLENWOOD SPRINGS TO DENVER

Leave Glenwood Springs aboard the Canyon Spirit and enjoy lunch while the scenery unfolds outside your window. Travel through rugged canyons, follow the twists of the Colorado River, and cross the iconic Continental Divide before reaching the vibrant city of Denver. B, L

DAY 6: DENVER

Bid farewell to your train as you experience Denver like never before on a guided city tour, bringing the city’s history and energy to life. Stand beneath the gleaming gold dome of the Colorado State Capitol and take in sweeping views of the city and mountains beyond. Explore the Denver Art Museum, particularly renowned for its extensive Native American art collection, considered one of the largest and most comprehensive in the country, alongside stunning works from around the world that promise to captivate and inspire. DAY 7: RETURN HOME

After exploring the diverse and majestic landscapes of the West, head home carrying irreplaceable memories with you. B

Mobility Note
Guests should be comfortable boarding the train using stairs, walking through railcars and standing on outdoor viewing platforms. Canyon Spirit can provide lift assistance for guests who cannot manage the boarding stairs, but mobility needs should be communicated in advance. The optional Arches National Park excursion may include uneven ground, gravel and short walks at scenic viewpoints.

The train also crosses the Continental Divide, so guests experience significant changes in elevation, scenery and temperature over the three-day rail journey.

Train Note
Canyon Spirit is a daytime-only rail journey, so guests do not sleep onboard. Each evening, travelers disembark for an overnight hotel stay while luggage is transferred separately, allowing guests to enjoy the scenery throughout the day without managing their larger bags.

Canyon Spirit’s three-day route is designed specifically for daylight sightseeing. Rather than traveling through the most scenic portions overnight, the schedule allows guests to see Utah’s red-rock country, Colorado River canyons and the Rocky Mountains during daylight hours.

Onboard hosts provide commentary about the geology, history and communities along the route, turning the rail journey into a guided sightseeing experience rather than simply transportation between cities.

The train follows sections of the Colorado River through terrain that is difficult or impossible to experience from major highways, offering a perspective of remote canyon country that independent travelers typically would not see.

The route changes dramatically over three days, beginning among the high-desert landscapes of Utah before following river canyons into Colorado and eventually climbing through the Rocky Mountains toward Denver.

Meals and beverages are served onboard while the scenery passes outside the windows, so guests do not have to choose between sightseeing and stopping for meals.

Hotel Note
Little America Hotel has been a Salt Lake City landmark since 1966 and occupies 10 landscaped acres in the heart of downtown. The property features spacious rooms, an indoor/outdoor pool, on-site dining and easy access to downtown attractions.

The Moab and Glenwood Springs hotels are assigned by Canyon Spirit as part of the rail experience, simplifying the journey because accommodations and luggage transfers are coordinated with the train schedule.

Photography Tips
Keep a camera or phone readily accessible throughout the train ride because scenery can change quickly from desert mesas to river canyons and mountain landscapes. The outdoor viewing area is especially useful for unobstructed photos, but guests should secure loose items when stepping outside.

Notes on Highlights
The Salt Lake Temple open house is an especially rare component of this departure. The temple has not been open to the general public since 1893, making the 2027 opportunity a limited-time experience that cannot normally be added to a Salt Lake City visit.

Other General Information
Tour Communications: You will receive three key communications leading up to your tour:

• Get Ready: Your email confirmation and initial tour information, sent after you register.
• Get Set: An email with additional tour details, sent approximately two months before departure.
• Go: Your final trip documents, mailed via USPS approximately three to four weeks before departure. This packet will include your daily itinerary, luggage tags, and final departure information.

Travel Protection: Travel Protection is optional but highly recommended and may be purchased until the day before departure. Sunrise Tours offers plans through battleface. Additional information will be included with your Get Ready email and can also be found HERE.

Inclusions: Unless otherwise noted, your Sunrise Tour includes:

• Deluxe motorcoach transportation with an onboard restroom
• Admission to activities and events as indicated
• Airfare from designated airports

• Luggage handling at hotels when available

Gratuities: We believe tipping is a personal and discretionary interaction between our guests and staff. A typical gratuity for your Sunrise Tour Director and motorcoach driver is $6 to $10 per person, per day of the tour. Sunrise Shuttle drivers also appreciate gratuities for excellent service, with a suggested amount of $5 per person. Our staff will not solicit gratuities or distribute gratuity envelopes.

Refreshments: We are happy to provide refreshments on most motorcoach travel days. We also recommend bringing a refillable water bottle to help you stay hydrated throughout your tour.

Pickup Points: If fewer than four travelers request a particular pickup point, we may ask those guests to select another available pickup location. Travelers are also welcome to join a tour from a city that is not listed as a departure point. Please contact our friendly reservations team to discuss available arrangements. For departure cities not listed, airfare is typically $100 more than the published fare for domestic tours and $200 more for international tours.

TSA PreCheck and Airline Rewards Numbers: TSA PreCheck, Known Traveler Numbers, and airline rewards numbers must be provided to our reservations team at least 60 days before departure. Numbers received after this deadline may not be applied to your reservation.

Airline Seating: Preferred seating may not be available with group airfare. In some cases, seats are not assigned until travelers arrive at the airport. Your tour fare includes an economy-class seat but does not include advance seat selection. Seat upgrades may be available for an additional cost.

Motorcoach Capacity and Seating: To provide one of the most comfortable motorcoach experiences in the industry, Sunrise Tours generally limits motorcoaches to 80% capacity. This allows for a maximum of 44 passengers on a motorcoach designed to accommodate 55. Sunrise Tours reserves the right to amend this practice. Your Tour Director will rotate motorcoach seating each day of the tour. Payment of a single-occupancy fare does not guarantee two motorcoach seats, and you may be seated beside another friendly Sunrise Tours guest.
