Day 1: Arrive
Arrive in Las Vegas for dinner and an overnight stay. D

Day 2: Mukuntuweap
“Mukuntuweap” as it was called by the Southern Paiute, meaning “Straight Canyon” is today what we know as Zion National Park. Start your visit at the Zion Human History Museum and learn about the 10,000 years of native culture in Southwest Utah. Explore Zion Canyon with a local guide and visit it’s awe-inspiring sights, such as the Court of the Patriarchs and the Temple of Sinawava. Continue to Kanab, UT, and check in for a 2-night stay. Day 3: Grand Canyon North Rim
Visit the Red Pueblo Museum and see their collection of ancient artifacts up to 1,000 years old, left by a variety of civilizations that called this area home. Continue to the hidden gem of the Grand Canyon, the North Rim. This lesser visited portion of the Grand Canyon is home to herds of bison and elk, as well as stunning views of one of nature’s greatest wonders. Enjoy amazing scenic overlooks plus free time to enjoy the canyon at your own pace. Return to Kanab. B, L

Day 4: Antelope Canyon
Page, AZ is home to one of the most iconic scenes of the Southwest and one of the most significant cultural areas for the Navajo – Antelope Canyon. Take an unforgettable walking tour through the smooth rock walls of the canyon with an expert Navajo guide. Called “Tse bighanilini” by the Navajo, this narrow passage of stone was carved out by centuries of flash flooding, and is said to be a spiritual site that is home to the wildlife spirits of their ancestors. Continue to the Hopi Reservation for an overnight stay at Moenkopi Legacy Inn & Suites. Spend the evening listening to tales of history, tradition, and legacy presented by a Hopi guide. B, L

NOTE: Antelope Canyon tour requires extensive walking. Mobility devices such as canes and walkers are not permitted.

Day 5: Monument Valley
With a local Navajo guide, journey into Oljato-Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park on a 4 wheel-drive jeep tour. Driver-guides provide narration and tell the endless stories of this sacred area, made famous as the set of many iconic movies, from John Wayne to Forest Gump. Enjoy a traditional Navajo Taco lunch in the shadows of the towering monoliths. Continue into southwest Colorado and check in for a 2-night stay at Far View Lodge within Mesa Verde National Park. Day 6: Mesa Verde
Awake to incredible views of the National Park from your private balcony. Discover the ancient dwellings of the Ancestral Pueblo on a tour with a certified guide. Explore the sprawling community of stone ruins carved into cliff faces 800 feet above the valley floor. Learn how this civilization lived, and hear theories about why they may have left this amazing stone complex abandoned centuries before it was discovered by the Spanish. B, L

Day 7: Telluride
After another sunrise in the park, travel north through the Rocky Mountains to the classic mountain town of Telluride. Explore the historic mining town’s quaint downtown area with stunning mountain views. Ride the scenic gondola to the community of Mountain Village and enjoy time at the Telluride Ski Resort. Visit the Ute Indian Museum to see how the past is preserved in contemporary Ute life and culture. Continue to Montrose for an overnight stay. B, D

Day 8: Black Canyon of the Gunnison
Spend the morning at Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, one of the best kept secrets in America. Ride along the Rim Drive Road for constant scenic views and stop at overlooks to peer down over 2,000 feet to the Gunnison River below. Enjoy time in the iconic town of Glenwood Springs before continuing to Denver. B, D

Luggage:
Orange luggage tags are provided and are to be placed on your “checked luggage” (large bag). You do not need a tag for your carry-on bag, for which you will be responsible for taking on and off the coach. There is limited space in the cabin of the coach, so unless you require your carry-on bag while traveling, we will stow it in the luggage compartment.

Mobility Requirements:
This tour requires more walking than our average tour. The tour of Antelope Canyon does not allow mobility devices such as canes and walkers. The walk through the Canyon is flat for 225 yards or an eighth of a mile. Travel is one way and then requires you to return via steps and walkways outside of the Canyon back to the tour vehicle. While the walk is not strenuous, it should only be attempted by individuals with comfortable mobility.
