DAY 3: MONTREAL, QUEBEC

Enjoy breakfast before we travel to Montreal for a stay at the sophisticated 4-star Fairmont Queen Elizabeth. Ideally situated above Montreal’s underground pedestrian network, there will be free time to explore this unique Underground City. Gather for dinner at the hotel’s acclaimed Roselys Restaurant serving contemporary Quebec cuisine. B, D

DAY 4: QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC

Our local tour guide will acquaint us with Montreal’s cultural heritage and cosmopolitan blend of old and new including Montreal’s crown jewel, the Notre-Dame Basilica. Travel to Quebec and enjoy a rustic and traditional sugar shack dinner experience with live entertainment and poured “taffy on snow.” Check into our hotel for the next three nights. Standing grand on a bluff overlooking the mighty St. Lawrence River, the 5-Star Fairmont Le Château Frontenac is not merely a hotel located in the heart of Old Québec—it IS the heart of Old Québec! DAY 5: QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC

Join our local guide for informative exploration of the most European of North American cities, Quebec City. See the massive stone architecture, the heavily fortified walls and the charm of Old Quebec City. This afternoon is free to explore, shop, and acclimate into the local culture before dinner at the historic Aux Anciens, known for traditional Québécois cuisine! B, D

DAY 6: QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC

Relax in our hotel this morning before we visit Montmorency Falls. Board a cable car ride up 272 feet while captivated by the majestic waterfall to the Manoir for a delectable lunch. Visit Cuivres d’Art Albert Gilles studio to see and learn how he crafted the copper doors of the Basilica! Tour St. Anne de Beaupre, to be captivated by the spiritual ambiance of the basilica. Afterward, enjoy free time in Quebec City to immerse yourself in its charm. B, L

DAY 7: OTTAWA, ONTARIO

Journey to Canada’s beautiful capital city of Ottawa. En route, enjoy a guided tour at Fromagerie St-Albert to watch master cheesemakers craft award-winning curds, while learning the rich history. Taste the cheese curds on their signature Poutine dish before continuing to one of Canada’s largest and most popular cultural institutions, The Canadian Museum of History. Savor award-winning farm to table cuisine before settling in for a 2-night stay at the 5-star Fairmont Château Laurier. B, D

DAY 8: SHOWCASING OTTAWA

With a local guide, discover the sites of Ottawa and the Tulip displays (May departure), featuring more than three million tulips and brilliant fall foliage (September departure). Visit Commissioner’s Park, Parliament Hill, and Sussex Drive, view the official residences of the Prime Minister and Governor General and many other sights. The evening is free for you to explore and perhaps try a “Beavertail!” B

DAY 9: NIAGARA FALLS, ONTARIO

Journey along the shores of Lake Ontario into Niagara Falls, Ontario. Dine at the prominent Skylon tower revolving dining room, located 775 feet above the falls with incredible views. This evening, check in for an overnight stay at our hotel, located within easy walking distance to the SkyWheel and seawall to view Niagara Falls. B, D

DAY 10: NIAGARA FALLS, ONTARIO

Board Canada’s Niagara City Cruises boat for a cruise past American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and into the very heart of Horseshoe Falls for an exhilarating up-close encounter with the famous natural wonder, Niagara Falls. After crossing the border into the USA, enjoy lunch at Templeton Landing with water views of the Erie Basin. This afternoon, travel west to Ohio for an overnight stay. B, L

Mobility Note
Guests should be comfortable with considerable walking and standing during guided city tours, museums, historic districts and free time. Old Québec includes hills, cobblestone streets, uneven pavement and steps, while the Niagara Falls cruise requires navigating boarding ramps and potentially wet surfaces. The CN Tower and Niagara City Cruises offer accessible elevators and boarding routes, but guests should still be prepared to board and exit the motorcoach several times each day.

Packing Tips
Pack comfortable walking shoes with good traction, removable layers and a compact rain jacket or umbrella. A waterproof outer layer is useful for the Niagara Falls cruise, where complimentary ponchos are provided but mist and spray are expected. Bring a slightly dressier outfit for the included theater performance and dinners at the Fairmont hotels.

Hotel Note
This tour includes eight nights in four of Canada’s landmark Fairmont hotels, offering a luxurious hotel experience.

Fairmont Royal York has been a Toronto landmark since 1929 and sits in the heart of downtown, directly across from Union Station. The hotel also maintains a rooftop herb garden and more than 300,000 honeybees used to support its culinary and sustainability programs.

Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth is connected directly to Montreal’s Central Station and indoor pedestrian network. The hotel also became part of music history when John Lennon and Yoko Ono held their 1969 “Bed-In for Peace” and recorded “Give Peace a Chance” there.

Fairmont Le Château Frontenac stands inside the walls of Old Québec, placing guests within walking distance of historic streets, cafés, shops and views of the St. Lawrence River. The hotel hosted the Québec Conferences of 1943 and 1944, attended by Winston Churchill, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Canadian Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King.

Fairmont Château Laurier overlooks the Rideau Canal and sits beside many of Ottawa’s major landmarks. Celebrated portrait photographer Yousuf Karsh lived at the hotel for 18 years, and several of his works remain on display.

Notes on Highlights
The May departure coincides with Ottawa’s traditional tulip season, while the September departure offers the possibility of early fall color. Bloom and foliage timing vary according to seasonal weather and cannot be guaranteed.

Québec City is the only fortified city north of Mexico whose historic walls remain largely intact. Staying for three nights inside Old Québec gives guests time to experience the area after many daytime visitors have departed.

Montmorency Falls is approximately 100 feet taller than Niagara Falls. The included cable-car ride provides elevated views without requiring guests to climb the long staircase beside the falls.

Niagara City Cruises provides complimentary ponchos, but guests should expect to get damp as the vessel approaches Horseshoe Falls. A waterproof phone pouch and shoes that dry quickly can be especially useful.

The four Fairmont properties are not simply accommodations. Their architecture, locations and connections to Canadian history make the hotels an important part of the sightseeing experience.

Tour Communications: You will receive three key communications leading up to your tour:

• Get Ready: Your email confirmation and initial tour information, sent after you register.
• Get Set: An email with additional tour details, sent approximately two months before departure.
• Go: Your final trip documents, mailed via USPS approximately three to four weeks before departure. This packet will include your daily itinerary, luggage tags, and final departure information.

Travel Protection: Travel Protection is optional but highly recommended and may be purchased until the day before departure. Sunrise Tours offers plans through battleface. Additional information will be included with your Get Ready email and can also be found HERE.

Inclusions: Unless otherwise noted, your Sunrise Tour includes:

Gratuities: We believe tipping is a personal and discretionary interaction between our guests and staff. A typical gratuity for your Sunrise Tour Director and motorcoach driver is $6 to $10 per person, per day of the tour. Sunrise Shuttle drivers also appreciate gratuities for excellent service, with a suggested amount of $5 per person. Our staff will not solicit gratuities or distribute gratuity envelopes.

Refreshments: We are happy to provide refreshments on most motorcoach travel days. We also recommend bringing a refillable water bottle to help you stay hydrated throughout your tour.

Pickup Points: If fewer than four travelers request a particular pickup point, we may ask those guests to select another available pickup location. Travelers are also welcome to join a tour from a city that is not listed as a departure point. Please contact our friendly reservations team to discuss available arrangements. For departure cities not listed, airfare is typically $100 more than the published fare for domestic tours and $200 more for international tours.

TSA PreCheck and Airline Rewards Numbers: TSA PreCheck, Known Traveler Numbers, and airline rewards numbers must be provided to our reservations team at least 60 days before departure. Numbers received after this deadline may not be applied to your reservation.

Airline Seating: Preferred seating may not be available with group airfare. In some cases, seats are not assigned until travelers arrive at the airport. Your tour fare includes an economy-class seat but does not include advance seat selection. Seat upgrades may be available for an additional cost.

Motorcoach Capacity and Seating: To provide one of the most comfortable motorcoach experiences in the industry, Sunrise Tours generally limits motorcoaches to 80% capacity. This allows for a maximum of 44 passengers on a motorcoach designed to accommodate 55. Sunrise Tours reserves the right to amend this practice. Your Tour Director will rotate motorcoach seating each day of the tour. Payment of a single-occupancy fare does not guarantee two motorcoach seats, and you may be seated beside another friendly Sunrise Tours guest.
