DAY 1: WELCOME TO MICHIGAN!

DAY 2: MACKINAC ISLAND

Ferry across Lake Huron to the charming Mackinac Island, where a horse-drawn carriage whisks you to the island’s crown jewel: the incomparable Grand Hotel, home to the world’s longest porch overlooking the Straits of Mackinac. In the evening, indulge in an elegant five-course dinner in the Grand Dining Room. B, D

DAY 3: MACKINAC ISLAND

After a restful night in one of the Grand Hotel’s elegant guest rooms, enjoy a relaxed morning to soak in the serene atmosphere or venture out to explore more of Mackinac Island. Visit historic forts, take a scenic carriage ride, sample the island’s world-famous fudge, or bike along the beautiful lakeshore. Your Sunrise Tour Director will be on hand to assist with planning optional activities (additional costs not included). This evening, gather once again in the Grand Hotel’s elegant Dining Room for another exquisite meal. B, D

DAY 4: SAULT SAINTE MARIE

After another night in one of the Grand’s magnificent guest rooms and a superb breakfast, depart for Sault Ste. Marie, MI, often referred to as the Northern Gateway to Canada. Visit Tahquamenon Falls State Park for a ranger-guided tour of the Upper Falls, one of the most breathtaking natural wonders in the region. Embark on a scenic cruise along the St. Mary’s River, where you’ll pass through the legendary Soo Locks—an engineering marvel and the busiest waterway traffic system in the world. Unpack for a two-night stay in Sault Ste. Marie. B, L

DAY 5: HISTORIC SAULT SAINTE MARIE

Begin your day exploring the rich history and charm of Sault Ste. Marie with a free afternoon to enjoy this picturesque lakeside town at your own pace. Or, for an unforgettable adventure, opt for the full-day Agawa Canyon Train excursion (additional cost). Don’t forget your passport! This full-day scenic rail journey takes you 114 miles north into the heart of Ontario’s rugged landscape. Ride across the impressive Montreal River trestle, pass crystal-clear lakes, and wind through dramatic granite cliffs on your way to the unspoiled beauty of Agawa Canyon Park. B

DAY 6: MARQUETTE

Travel along the scenic shoreline of Lake Michigan, adorned with vibrant autumn foliage, as you make your way to charming Munising. Discover the breathtaking beauty of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore bathed in sunlight during a memorable boat cruise. Glide across the clear waters of Lake Superior, taking in stunning views of colorful cliffs, sea caves, and untouched beaches. Spend the night on the shores of Lake Superior in the picturesque city of Marquette. B, D

DAY 7: WISCONSIN

Begin your morning with a stunning visit to Kitch-iti-kipi, or “Big Spring,” in Manistique. Known as the Mirror of Heaven, this natural spring mesmerizes with its crystal-clear waters reflecting the surrounding beauty. Head to the quaint town of Sheboygan for a delightful dinner and an overnight stay at the memorable Blue Harbor Resort, perfectly situated on the shores of Lake Michigan. Unwind and take in the tranquil charm of this timeless lakeside getaway. B. D

DAY 8: RETURN HOME

Of course, no visit to Wisconsin is complete without cheese! So before departing Wisconsin, visit a local cheese house for delicious samples and an opportunity to purchase favorites. Then it’s homeward bound—refreshed and rejuvenated from our Michigan adventure. B

We will send 3 key communications for your tour; “Get Ready” is your email confirmation and initial tour information sent upon registration, “Get Set” email will be sent about two months before departure, “Go” trip documentation mailing is sent via USPS 3-4 weeks before departure and will include your daily itinerary, luggage tags and final departure information.

Travel Protection is optional and highly recommended and can be purchased until the day before departure. We offer Travel Guard from AIG, which costs 8.5% of your tour, information about which will be sent with your Get Ready email.

Unless otherwise noted, your Sunrise Tour includes: Professional Sunrise Tour Director, meals as indicated, local step on guides including gratuity (international tour guide gratuity inclusion vary by tour), deluxe motorcoach transportation w/rest room, admission to activities and events as indicated, airfare from designated airports, transportation to/from designated airports from our convenient local pickup points*, luggage handling at hotels when available

We believe tipping is a personal and discretionary interaction between our guests and our staff. A typical gratuity for your Sunrise Tour Director and motorcoach driver may be $5-$7per person, per day on tour. Sunrise Shuttle drivers appreciate gratuities (suggest $5 per person) for excellent service as well. Our staff will not solicit gratuities or pass out envelopes.

We are happy to offer refreshments on most motorcoach travel days on tour. We recommend you bring a refillable water bottle to maintain healthy hydration.

If less than 4 people request a pickup point, we may ask that you choose another pickup point from which to join your Sunrise Tour.

If you would like to join a tour from a city not listed as a departure point, we would love to have you along! Please discuss arrangements with our friendly reservation team. From a departure city not listed, typical airfare will be +$100 higher than our published fare for domestic tours, and +$200 for international tours.

If you have a TSA precheck or Airline Rewards numbers, you MUST give those numbers to our reservations team at least 60 days before departure, otherwise they may not be applied.

Preferred seating may not be available on group air. In some cases, seats are not assigned until the airport. Your tour fare includes an economy seat on the flight; it does not include seat selection. Seat upgrades may be available at an additional cost.

To help make our tours the most comfortable in the business, we limit Sunrise Tours motorcoaches to 80% capacity, or 44 passengers on a coach built for 55. We reserve the right to amend this practice.

Your Tour Director will rotate seats on the motorcoach each day of your tour. A single fare does not guarantee two seats on coach; you may be seated next to another friendly Sunrise Tours guest.
