DAY 1: WELCOME TO NEW YORK CITY!

Fly into the Big Apple and check into the historic Hotel Beacon in Manhattan’s Upper West Side for a two night stay. This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner with your fellow travelers and Tour Director. D

DAY 2: MANHATTAN

Journey through the boroughs alongside a knowledgeable local guide. As we travel through the city our guide will share insider stories, hidden gems, and fascinating history that only someone who knows the city intimately could provide. From the green oasis of Central Park to the dazzling lights of Times Square, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation for the energy, culture, and character that make this one of the most exciting places in the world. Spend the evening at your leisure, explore the city, and enjoy dinner on your own. You could even take the opportunity to enjoy a hit Broadway show! (On-own expense.) B

DAY 3: ADIRONDACK TRAIN

Ditch the bus for the most amazing Amtrak ticket in New England, The Adirondack Train. Traveling through the Hudson Valley, expect to see impressive views of the Hudson River, Lake Champlain, and the Adirondack Mountains. Your journey ends this evening in vibrant Montreal, Quebec. B, L, D

DAY 4: MONTREAL & EMBARKATION

Visit all the greatest sights in the city including Notre Dame Basilica, Old Port Sector, and Olympic Park. Get to know the sights, sounds, and culture of Canadian French with the help of our local expert before we embark on our Holland America Cruise. While cruising we will see the nearly 750 mile stretch of the St. Lawrence River that is a lighthouse lover’s paradise, with more than 40 of them lining the Québec portion alone. B, L, D

DAY 5: QUEBEC CITY, PORT OF CALL

Few places in North America are as steeped in history as Québec City, Canada. Older than Jamestown and founded before the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock, it is the only city north of Mexico whose original fortifications remain intact. Experience the Quebec City historic district, a UNESCO World Heritage site, home to many 17th century wonders. B, L, D

DAY 6: DAY AT SEA

Enjoy a day at sea before a day of exciting excursions. B, L, D

DAY 7: CAP-AUX-MEULES, LLES de la MADELEINE, PORT OF CALL

A cruise to the Magdalen Islands delivers passengers to a wind-swept archipelago in the St. Lawrence Gulf. Out of all of the Magdalen Islands, Cap-aux-Meules is the most developed. But to call Cap-aux-Meules “developed” is a stretch. Incredible nature is everywhere you turn. Stroll the Coastal Trail (Sentier Du Littoral), an easy paved walking trail along the water. And a huff and puff up the 185 steps at Chemin Du Quai pays off in extraordinary views. Bring binoculars—over 300 species of birds frequent the archipelago, including Atlantic puffins! B, L, D

DAY 8: HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA, PORT OF CALL

Located on a rocky inlet on the Atlantic Ocean, Halifax—Nova Scotia’s provincial capital—is defined by its maritime geography. It’s a spirited mix of world-class history and nautical-themed museums alongside bunkers and fortresses that guarded the harbor, plus striking public art and sights, funky shops and excellent pubs serving up folk music (and good pints). Explore the Halifax waterfront where steamships once anchored to drop off arriving immigrants at Pier 21. Savor the low-key but classy culinary scene for fresh seafood and Nova Scotia specialties—the city has both street vendors and casual joints catering to university students and upscale eateries with elegant settings. B, L, D

DAY 9: SAINT JOHN, NEW BRUNSWICK, PORT OF CALL

Saint John, on the southern coast of New Brunswick, is Canada’s oldest incorporated city as well as the only city on the Bay of Fundy. Give your stroll through uptown Saint John a little focus by taking the self-guided Loyalist Trail walking tour, which visits historic attractions like the 1784 Burial Grounds, the 1876 Old City Market, a general store and the Jewish Historical Museum. The New Brunswick Museum, also along the Loyalist Trail, tells the story of the town and exhibits cover some of its natural history, too, with an 80,000-year-old mastodon skeleton. B, L, D

DAY 10: EAST PORT, ME, PORT OF CALL

Visit Eastport, Maine with Holland America Line and immerse yourself in the quintessential charm of New England. This picturesque port, known for its vibrant arts scene and maritime heritage, offers a warm welcome to cruisers. Sample fresh local seafood, explore scenic vistas, and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere. Onboard, our ship’s amenities and service ensure your Eastport experience is comfortable, memorable, and a delightful part of your cruise. B, L, D

Disembark the MS Volendam and fly home with the most amazing stories to tell family and friends. B x
