With included transfers provided from New York City’s La Guardia Airport, our time together begins at the Hotel Beacon, a haven of comfort amid the bustling excitement of New York City during the Christmas season. Feel just like a local on an optional short walk with your tour manager. We’ll explore our surrounding residential neighborhood conveniently located on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Afterwards, enjoy the included evening welcome dinner. D
DAY 2: ROCKEFELLER PLAZA/ROCKETTES/MACY’S/CHRISTMAS MARKET
Start the morning with a satisfying breakfast before we are whisked away to enjoy one of the city’s top seasonal attractions—a walk through tinselfilled Rockefeller Plaza. Get an up-close view of the beautiful decorations and sparkling lights that adorn what has become a world-wide symbol of the holidays…the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. Perhaps enjoy a warm beverage as you gaze at skaters taking a spin on the popular ice rink. From there, we head down the block to see the magical Christmas Spectacular by the Radio City Rockettes. Experience wonder like never before with NYC’s favorite holiday tradition featuring sensational dance numbers, dazzling special effects, and even Santa Claus himself! Next, we visit the Bryant Park Christmas Market. This European inspired open-air market features artisans from around the world. Located along Bryant Park’s terraces, the Holiday Shops are housed in custom-designed, “jewel box” kiosks. Later, we explore Macy’s window decorations and take a guided walk through this iconic department store, followed by some “on your own” shopping time. B
DAY 3: RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL/MANHATTAN CRUISE/STATUE OF LIBERTY
No visit to New York at Christmas time would be complete without a visit to St. Patrick’s Cathedral. First built in 1879, the Manhattan landmark is renowned for its soaring spires, colossal organ, and exemplary rose window, and is the seat of the Archbishop of New York. Then, head a few blocks for a guided tour of the legendary Radio City Music Hall, prestigiously located on the Avenue of the Americas within Rockefeller Center. Get an inside look of this famed theater, and meet a Rockette! In the afternoon, check off many of the city’s iconic sights as we completely circumnavigate the island of Manhattan on a river cruise with reserved Premium Seating and lunch included. Pass under 20 bridges and gaze at over 130 landmarks such as One World Trade Center, the growing Brooklyn waterfront, the legendary Yankee Stadium, beautiful Gracie Mansion, the stately George Washington Bridge, and of course, an up close look at the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Tonight, enjoy free time on your own to perhaps take in a concert at Lincoln Center (taxi or Uber required), or stroll through the Upper West Side enjoying Christmas light displays. B, L
DAY 4: WORLD TRADE CENTER MEMORIAL/BROADWAY!
Americans will never forget 9/11/2001... Today a moving visit to the World Trade Center site starts at St. Paul’s Chapel, a place of rest and refuge on September 11 and the days after. Experience the powerfully moving waterfall pools set in the footprint of both towers and visit the recently opened World Trade Center Memorial Museum. Enjoy lunch on your own while perusing through Columbus Circle’s Holiday Market. It’s a great place to treat yourself to hot chocolate and gingerbread while browsing the booths, or relive the Old Country. This market is the only Christmas market in New York City with a stand that serves hot mulled wine (Gluhwein) and German Beer at their Bratwurst Stand. When the sun goes down, we savor an included dinner before capping off the evening at a New York City Broadway Musical (show TBD). B, D
DAY 5: FAREWELL
After breakfast, for those who wish, enjoy a local church service of your choosing (taxi or Uber may be required), and depart at leisure. Included transfers are available from the Hotel Beacon back to New York’s La Guardia Airport. Seeing New York City decked out in the greens and reds of Christmas time will no doubt give a whole new meaning to your holiday season…one you will not soon forget. B

Orange luggage tags are provided and are to be placed on your “checked luggage” (large bag). You do not need a tag for your carry-on bag, for which you will be responsible for taking on and off the coach. There is limited space in the cabin of the coach, so unless you require your carry-on bag while traveling, we will stow it in the luggage compartment.
New reservations will require a $250 per person deposit unless otherwise noted. As always, your deposit is still fully refundable for any reason until final payment. We are happy to accept cash, check (preferred) or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover) for your deposit.
Throughout 2021 we limited capacity on all our tours. This policy was so overwhelmingly popular by Sunrise travelers, we have made it permanent. In 2022 and beyond, we will limit the capacity on our motorcoaches to 80%. Most Sunrise Tours travel on 50-seat coaches with extra legroom, which means guests will enjoy extra legroom AND at least 6-8 empty seats. In the rare cases when we charter a 55-seat coach, there will be at least 10 open seats on the bus.
Our popular on-board refreshment service on travel days will feature a variety of soda, beer, wine spritzers, juices and sparkling water choices served in recyclable aluminum cans. This is a safe and eco-conscious way for us to deliver the ever-popular Sunrise Tours “happy hour” on tour. We do not typically serve bottled water and ask that while on tour you be responsible for your own hydration and consider the Sunrise Tours drink service a welcome refreshment.
