DAY 1-2: WELCOME TO PERU!

After an overnight flight, arrive in Lima. Meet your local guides and transfer to the 5-star Pullman Miraflores. Settle in and enjoy dinner as a group before your Peruvian adventure begins. D

DAY 3: PACHAMANCA LUNCH/PAYMENT TO THE EARTH CEREMONY

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before taking a flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, head to the peaceful Piuray Lagoon for a traditional Pachamanca lunch, prepared with hot stones and served buffet-style. Take part in a Payment to the Earth ceremony, an Andean ritual of gratitude to Pachamama. B, L

DAY 4: SACRED VALLEY/AGUAS CALIENTES

Take a scenic journey through the Sacred Valley with visits to the colorful market of Pisaq and the impressive Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo, accompanied by a private guide. Enjoy a delicious lunch at the charming Wayra Restaurant. In the afternoon, board the train to Aguas Calientes, soaking in the stunning Andean landscapes along the way. Upon arrival at Hotel Sumaq, one of the most upscale options in Aguas Calientes, settle in and enjoy dinner as a group. B, L, D

DAY 5: MACHU PICCHU

Spend the day exploring the breathtaking citadel of Machu Picchu. Did you know Machu Picchu was never found by the Spanish conquistadors? This greatly helped preserve its remarkable condition for centuries. Tour this ancient Inca site, taking in its remarkable architecture and panoramic views. Return to Aguas Calientes and take the scenic journey back to Ollantaytambo, before a transfer to Cusco for a two-night stay at one of the most iconic and prestigious hotels in Peru, Hotel Belmond Monasterio. B, D

DAY 6: CUSCO

Explore Cusco on a guided walking tour through the historic center, with visits to the magnificent Cathedral and the sacred site of Santo Domingo/Coricancha. Visit the nearby Inca ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay, each offering a glimpse into the city’s rich past. Later, discover the fascinating salt mines of Maras and the circular terraces of Moray, once used by the Incas for agricultural experiments. B

DAY 7: PUNO

After breakfast, journey to Puno, a city rich in indigenous culture and traditions. Along the way, enjoy a lunch buffet in Sicuani, visit the chapel of Andahuaylillas, and explore the Raqchi ruins. Arrive in Puno for an overnight stay. B, L

DAY 8: LAKE TITICACA

Today brings a full-day excursion to Lake Titicaca, sitting on the border of Peru and Bolivia and known for its stunning blue waters, unique floating reed islands, and rich indigenous cultures. Enjoy a visit to the Uros Islands and lunch on Taquile Island. B, L

DAY 9: SILLUSTANI/JULIACA

This morning, take a guided tour of the Sillustani necropolis, an ancient burial site. Take a flight from Puno to Lima. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and enjoy dinner as a group. B, D

DAY 10: LIMA

Discover Lima on a guided city tour, with stops at the Cathedral and the San Francisco Convent, including its historic catacombs. In the afternoon, visit the Larco Museum with its showcase of pre-Columbian art. Enjoy a farewell dinner at Café del Museo Larco. B, D

DAY 11: RETURN HOME

Today, your Peruvian journey comes to an end. After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight home, filled with memories and knowledge of this ancient land. B

We will send 3 key communications for your tour; “Get Ready” is your email confirmation and initial tour information sent upon registration, “Get Set” email will be sent about two months before departure, “Go” trip documentation mailing is sent via USPS 3-4 weeks before departure and will include your daily itinerary, luggage tags and final departure information.

Travel Protection is optional and highly recommended and can be purchased until the day before departure. We offer Travel Guard from AIG, which costs 8.5% of your tour, information about which will be sent with your Get Ready email.

Unless otherwise noted, your Sunrise Tour includes: Professional Sunrise Tour Director, meals as indicated, local step on guides including gratuity (international tour guide gratuity inclusion vary by tour), deluxe motorcoach transportation w/rest room, admission to activities and events as indicated, airfare from designated airports, transportation to/from designated airports from our convenient local pickup points*, luggage handling at hotels when available

We believe tipping is a personal and discretionary interaction between our guests and our staff. A typical gratuity for your Sunrise Tour Director and motorcoach driver may be $5-$7per person, per day on tour. Sunrise Shuttle drivers appreciate gratuities (suggest $5 per person) for excellent service as well. Our staff will not solicit gratuities or pass out envelopes.

We are happy to offer refreshments on most motorcoach travel days on tour. We recommend you bring a refillable water bottle to maintain healthy hydration.

If less than 4 people request a pickup point, we may ask that you choose another pickup point from which to join your Sunrise Tour.

If you would like to join a tour from a city not listed as a departure point, we would love to have you along! Please discuss arrangements with our friendly reservation team. From a departure city not listed, typical airfare will be +$100 higher than our published fare for domestic tours, and +$200 for international tours.

If you have a TSA precheck or Airline Rewards numbers, you MUST give those numbers to our reservations team at least 60 days before departure, otherwise they may not be applied.

Preferred seating may not be available on group air. In some cases, seats are not assigned until the airport. Your tour fare includes an economy seat on the flight; it does not include seat selection. Seat upgrades may be available at an additional cost.

To help make our tours the most comfortable in the business, we limit Sunrise Tours motorcoaches to 80% capacity, or 44 passengers on a coach built for 55. We reserve the right to amend this practice.

Your Tour Director will rotate seats on the motorcoach each day of your tour. A single fare does not guarantee two seats on the coach; you may be seated next to another friendly Sunrise Tours guest.
