DAY 2: HISTORIC PHILADELPHIA

Start your day on a guided tour of Philadelphia’s historic sites with a period-attired guide. Travel through America’s journey to independence and past iconic sites such as Independence Hall. Visit the Liberty Bell and witness one of the country’s greatest symbols of freedom. This afternoon, head to the Museum of the American Revolution, home to an extensive collection of art, manuscripts, and printed works that illustrate the United States’ quest for freedom. B, D

DAY 3: PHILADELPHIA FLOWER SHOW

Today is dedicated to the Philadelphia Flower Show! Take the entire day to discover the nation’s largest and longest-running horticultural event, which has been operating since 1829. Explore the acres of garden displays designed by world-renowned landscape artists and view the artistic floral arranging competition. B

DAY 4: LONGWOOD

This morning, depart Philadelphia and travel towards the Brandywine Valley, a lush, historic region known as “America’s Garden Capital.” Immerse yourself in the beauty of Longwood Gardens, one of the world’s premier horticultural display gardens. Continue on to the Hagley Museum and Library, the site of the gunpowder works founded by E.I. du Pont in 1802. Tour the du Pont home, learn about the history of American Innovation, and take in the natural beauty along the Brandywine River. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner with your fellow travelers. DAY 5: FAREWELL

Discover the Philadelphia Magic Gardens, the largest work created by mosaic artist Isaiah Zagar. The tiled passages of the Magic Gardens create an over-3,000 square foot mosaic display. Then, depart Philadelphia with fond memories and new friends. B

Mobility Note
This tour includes considerable walking through museums, gardens and the Philadelphia Flower Show. The Flower Show is held in a large convention center with limited seating throughout the exhibit area, so guests should be prepared to stand and walk for extended periods. Longwood Gardens is primarily explored on foot, with a 5–10 minute walk from the Visitor Center to the Conservatory District.

Packing Tips
Pack comfortable walking shoes, removable layers, a warm jacket and a compact raincoat or umbrella. Outdoor walking is required at several attractions, including between buildings at Longwood Gardens, even when most of the visit is focused on the indoor conservatories.

Photography Tips
Photography is encouraged throughout much of the Flower Show and gardens. A phone or camera with a wide-angle setting is helpful for capturing large-scale displays, while a close-up or macro setting works well for floral arrangements and individual specimens.

Notes on Highlights
The Philadelphia Flower Show is more than a collection of display gardens. It also features highly competitive horticultural and floral-design exhibits, educational programming and a large marketplace where guests can browse gardening products, plants and gifts.

Because the Flower Show is indoors, guests can experience elaborate full-scale gardens, mature plants and thousands of spring blooms regardless of Philadelphia’s March weather.

Longwood Gardens’ conservatories provide another welcome taste of spring, with indoor environments ranging from lush tropical displays to orchids, Mediterranean plants and water gardens. The recently completed Longwood Reimagined project added 17 acres of transformed gardens, including a new West Conservatory.

The Flower Show dates back to 1829 and is recognized as the nation’s largest and longest-running horticultural event, giving guests the opportunity to experience a Philadelphia tradition nearly two centuries in the making.

Other General Information
Tour Communications: You will receive three key communications leading up to your tour:

• Get Ready: Your email confirmation and initial tour information, sent after you register.
• Get Set: An email with additional tour details, sent approximately two months before departure.
• Go: Your final trip documents, mailed via USPS approximately three to four weeks before departure. This packet will include your daily itinerary, luggage tags, and final departure information.

Travel Protection: Travel Protection is optional but highly recommended and may be purchased until the day before departure. Sunrise Tours offers plans through battleface. Additional information will be included with your Get Ready email and can also be found HERE.

Inclusions: Unless otherwise noted, your Sunrise Tour includes:

• Deluxe motorcoach transportation with an onboard restroom
• Admission to activities and events as indicated
• Airfare from designated airports

Gratuities: We believe tipping is a personal and discretionary interaction between our guests and staff. A typical gratuity for your Sunrise Tour Director and motorcoach driver is $6 to $10 per person, per day of the tour. Sunrise Shuttle drivers also appreciate gratuities for excellent service, with a suggested amount of $5 per person. Our staff will not solicit gratuities or distribute gratuity envelopes.

Refreshments: We are happy to provide refreshments on most motorcoach travel days. We also recommend bringing a refillable water bottle to help you stay hydrated throughout your tour.

Pickup Points: If fewer than four travelers request a particular pickup point, we may ask those guests to select another available pickup location. Travelers are also welcome to join a tour from a city that is not listed as a departure point. Please contact our friendly reservations team to discuss available arrangements. For departure cities not listed, airfare is typically $100 more than the published fare for domestic tours and $200 more for international tours.

TSA PreCheck and Airline Rewards Numbers: TSA PreCheck, Known Traveler Numbers, and airline rewards numbers must be provided to our reservations team at least 60 days before departure. Numbers received after this deadline may not be applied to your reservation.

Airline Seating: Preferred seating may not be available with group airfare. In some cases, seats are not assigned until travelers arrive at the airport. Your tour fare includes an economy-class seat but does not include advance seat selection. Seat upgrades may be available for an additional cost.

Motorcoach Capacity and Seating: To provide one of the most comfortable motorcoach experiences in the industry, Sunrise Tours generally limits motorcoaches to 80% capacity. This allows for a maximum of 44 passengers on a motorcoach designed to accommodate 55. Sunrise Tours reserves the right to amend this practice. Your Tour Director will rotate motorcoach seating each day of the tour. Payment of a single-occupancy fare does not guarantee two motorcoach seats, and you may be seated beside another friendly Sunrise Tours guest.
