DAY 1: WELCOME TO TEXAS!

Arrive in Austin, the state capital, and meet up with the Coach travelers. Settle into your hotel and enjoy a welcome dinner. D

DAY 2: WESTERN ART, SAN ANTONIO BOTANICAL GARDEN

Depart Austin and travel towards San Antonio. Visit the Briscoe Western Art Museum and learn about the artifacts, stories, and artwork that shaped the American West. Enjoy lunch and time on your own at the historic Pearl District, a vibrant community home to a beautiful farmer’s market featuring local artisans. Continue on to the San Antonio Botanical Garden. Tonight, check into your hotel on the historic River Walk and enjoy dinner with your travel companions. B, D

DAY 3: SAN ANTONIO MISSIONS, RIVER WALK

Today, immerse yourself in the history of San Antonio with a local expert. Start with a visit to the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in Texas. Explore the largest concentration of Spanish colonial missions in North America. Stroll along San Antonio’s first suburb, King William, settled in the 19th century by prosperous German merchants who displayed their wealth through extravagant homes. This afternoon, enjoy free time to explore the San Antonio River Walk. B, L

DAY 4: FREDERICKSBURG

This morning, head to Fredericksburg, located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Explore Wildseed Farms, where fields of wildflowers are grown for the production of seed. Enjoy a tour and tasting at a local Fredericksburg winery before exploring the historic downtown which blends rich German heritage with a laid-back charm. B, L

DAY 5: LBJ LIBRARY, LADY BIRD JOHNSON WILDFLOWER CENTER

Limestone cliffs, granite outcroppings, and hidden springs are a perfect habitat for wildflowers in Hill Country. You’ll witness this wonderful area up close in the morning light as we travel from Fredericksburg towards Austin. En route, travel through the back roads to see the region’s blooming flowers. The group will continue on to Austin, where the Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library offers an inspiring journey through the life of the 36th President. This is also a great introduction to our next stop, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. From collecting seeds to designing and installing green roofs, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin realizes its mission through ecological design, research, plant conservation, and landscape restoration. DAY 6: MAGNOLIA MARKET

Spend today exploring Magnolia Market, the creation of home design experts Chip and Joanna Gaines. Visit the beautifully designed gardens and shops, plus the Silos Baking Co. filled with Joanna’s personal recipes. Hop aboard the Silo District Trolley to tour downtown Waco at your leisure. This evening, a delicious BBQ farewell dinner is in order. B, D

Mobility Note
Guests should be comfortable walking through gardens, museums, historic districts and the San Antonio Missions, with some uneven pavement, brick walkways, inclines and limited seating. Wildseed Farms has wide, wheelchair-friendly walking paths, and complimentary wheelchairs may be available at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.

Packing Tips
Pack comfortable walking shoes, removable layers, a light jacket and a compact raincoat or umbrella. Sunscreen, sunglasses and a refillable water bottle are recommended for the gardens, missions and outdoor sightseeing.

Wildflower Note
Wildflower displays vary each year according to fall and winter rainfall, temperatures and the timing of spring weather. Bluebonnets generally bloom from March through April, but the exact varieties, locations and intensity of the blooms cannot be guaranteed. Wildseed Farms maintains cultivated flower fields, providing an additional opportunity to see seasonal color even when roadside blooms vary.

Hotel Note
The Drury Plaza Hotel San Antonio Riverwalk occupies the former Alamo National Bank Building, a 1929 landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its preserved features include stained-glass windows, marble walls, bronze details and original chandeliers, while a rooftop pool and observation deck offer panoramic city views. The hotel also provides direct access to the River Walk.

The Hilton Garden Inn Austin University Capitol District features a 17th-floor rooftop overlooking the University of Texas, the State Capitol and the downtown Austin skyline.

Notes on Highlights
Texas bluebonnets are often joined by Indian paintbrush, pink evening primrose, winecups and other native flowers, creating layers of color rather than fields of only blue.

Wildseed Farms combines cultivated display gardens with production fields where flowers are grown for seed. Its walking paths also pass vineyards, trial plots, butterfly gardens and water features.

Lady Bird Johnson helped establish the Wildflower Center to preserve native plants and landscapes. Today, its work extends beyond display gardens to plant conservation, ecological research and sustainable landscape design.

Magnolia Market covers so much more than shopping! Guests can explore gardens, food trucks, lawn games and several distinct retail spaces throughout the Silos property, making it easy to tailor the day to individual interests.

Other General Information
Tour Communications: You will receive three key communications leading up to your tour:

• Get Ready: Your email confirmation and initial tour information, sent after you register.
• Get Set: An email with additional tour details, sent approximately two months before departure.
• Go: Your final trip documents, mailed via USPS approximately three to four weeks before departure. This packet will include your daily itinerary, luggage tags, and final departure information.

Travel Protection: Travel Protection is optional but highly recommended and may be purchased until the day before departure. Sunrise Tours offers plans through battleface. Additional information will be included with your Get Ready email and can also be found HERE.

Inclusions: Unless otherwise noted, your Sunrise Tour includes:

Gratuities: We believe tipping is a personal and discretionary interaction between our guests and staff. A typical gratuity for your Sunrise Tour Director and motorcoach driver is $6 to $10 per person, per day of the tour. Sunrise Shuttle drivers also appreciate gratuities for excellent service, with a suggested amount of $5 per person. Our staff will not solicit gratuities or distribute gratuity envelopes.

Refreshments: We are happy to provide refreshments on most motorcoach travel days. We also recommend bringing a refillable water bottle to help you stay hydrated throughout your tour.

Pickup Points: If fewer than four travelers request a particular pickup point, we may ask those guests to select another available pickup location. Travelers are also welcome to join a tour from a city that is not listed as a departure point. Please contact our friendly reservations team to discuss available arrangements. For departure cities not listed, airfare is typically $100 more than the published fare for domestic tours and $200 more for international tours.

TSA PreCheck and Airline Rewards Numbers: TSA PreCheck, Known Traveler Numbers, and airline rewards numbers must be provided to our reservations team at least 60 days before departure. Numbers received after this deadline may not be applied to your reservation.

Airline Seating: Preferred seating may not be available with group airfare. In some cases, seats are not assigned until travelers arrive at the airport. Your tour fare includes an economy-class seat but does not include advance seat selection. Seat upgrades may be available for an additional cost.

Motorcoach Capacity and Seating: To provide one of the most comfortable motorcoach experiences in the industry, Sunrise Tours generally limits motorcoaches to 80% capacity. This allows for a maximum of 44 passengers on a motorcoach designed to accommodate 55. Sunrise Tours reserves the right to amend this practice. Your Tour Director will rotate motorcoach seating each day of the tour. Payment of a single-occupancy fare does not guarantee two motorcoach seats, and you may be seated beside another friendly Sunrise Tours guest.
