Average Temps
Daytime: 55–60°F
Overnight: 40–45°F

Packing Tips
Pack comfortable, water-resistant walking shoes with good traction, removable layers and a waterproof jacket. Bring long pants, closed-toe shoes and a wind-resistant outer layer for the whale-watching cruise, as temperatures on the water may feel considerably colder than on land.

Whale-Watching Note
Guests who are prone to motion sickness may wish to consult their doctor or pharmacist about preventive options before the cruise. Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed, and the route and distance traveled will depend on where whales and other marine animals are located that day.

Hotel Note
Swinomish Casino & Lodge reflects its setting and heritage through Native artwork and design details throughout the guest rooms. Floor-to-ceiling windows showcase views of the Swinomish Channel, San Juan Islands, Padilla Bay and Mount Baker.

The Delta Hotels Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort offers an indoor pool, fitness center and on-site spa. Its harborfront setting connects to the scenic Songhees waterfront walkway, providing an enjoyable option for a morning or evening stroll during free time.

Notes on Highlights
The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is spread across several independent working farms rather than contained within one festival ground. This tour includes two distinctive experiences, pairing RoozenGaarde’s formal display garden and sweeping fields with Tulip Town’s windmill garden, artwork and trolley ride.

The tulips are an agricultural crop that blooms only once each year, and the exact timing and appearance of the fields are determined by temperature, wind and rainfall. The selected April departure falls during the traditional festival period, but the varieties and stages of bloom may differ from one farm to another.

Butchart Gardens was created from a former limestone quarry. The dramatic Sunken Garden visitors see today transformed a depleted industrial site into one of Canada’s most celebrated garden landscapes.

The ferry journeys are part of the sightseeing experience rather than simply transportation. Active Pass is a narrow channel where guests may see forested islands, coastal communities and passing marine traffic at close range.

The Delta Ocean Pointe’s location across the harbor provides postcard views toward Victoria’s Parliament Buildings and the Fairmont Empress, particularly when the waterfront landmarks are illuminated after dark.
