DAYS 1-2: WELCOME TO PORTUGAL!

Arrive in Lisbon after an overnight flight and visit the local historical relics of Jerónimos Monastery and the Tower of Belém. Conclude the day with a group welcome dinner and settle in for a 2-night stay. D

DAY 3: SINTRA

Explore Lisbon’s palace district, Sintra, with a local guide. Visit the National Palace of Sintra and learn about its history, architecture, and local charm. Savor authentic Portuguese cuisine for lunch while soaking in the region’s atmosphere. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure before dinner at the legendary Café Luso to experience the soulful rhythms and heartfelt performances of traditional Portuguese Fado. B, L, D

DAY 4: THE VICENTINE COAST & ALGARVE

Depart Lisbon for the Algarve region, world renowned for stunning seaside cliffs, golden beaches, and its Mediterranean climate. Visit the Vicentine Coast, where guests can observe dramatic cliffside views and unspoiled natural scenery at a leisurely pace. Enjoy 2-nights at Hotel Sol e Mar, located on the beach. Take-in the stunning views of the southern Portuguese coast from your private balcony! B, L

DAY 5: ALGARVE COASTAL CRUISE

Join your Tour Director for an optional discovery of the local area or take the morning to explore as you wish. As the afternoon turns golden, embark on a private sunset boat cruise to the Algarve caves, where dramatic cliffs and hidden grottos create a magical atmosphere on the water. The journey continues with a memorable barbecue dinner served on a beach, allowing the group to dine with their feet in the sand as the sun sets over the Atlantic. B, D

DAY 6: SEVILLE & THE REAL ALCÁZAR

Say “adeus” to Portugal and “hola” to Spain as we cross the border to Seville. Enjoy a guided walking tour centered around Spain Plaza, observing its intricate tile work and grand design. Visit the Royal Alcázar of Seville, a palace complex that showcases centuries of cultural and architectural influence. Check in for a 2-night stay in Seville. B, D

DAY 7: SEVILLE AT LEISURE

Visit historic neighborhoods, local markets, or hidden cafes in Seville with a day designed for a leisurely pace and independent exploration. This evening, attend a professional Flamenco show, an experience reflecting the music and dance traditions of Andalusian culture. During sunset, visit the Setas de Sevilla, offering panoramic views of the city’s rooftops and historical landmarks. B, D

DAY 8: CÓRDOBA & GRANADA

Depart for Granada with a stop in Córdoba to explore its historic heritage. A light walking tour introduces you to the city’s historic streets and iconic surroundings. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant to sample regional flavors before continuing the journey to Granada for an extended 3-night stay. B, L

DAY 9: HISTORIC GRANADA

The morning features a private walking tour of Granada’s historical city center and its Cathedral, providing historical context for the city’s architectural development. Enjoy afternoon free time for an opportunity to visit local shops, cafes, and be immersed in the local culture on your own. B, L

DAY 10: THE ALHAMBRA PALACE

Visit the Alhambra, a world-renowned palace and fortress complex, and one of the most famous monuments of Islamic architecture in the world. A guided tour explores the Nasrid palaces, Moorish architecture, and Generalife gardens. B, L

DAY 11: RONDA & GIBRALTAR

The journey continues toward Gibraltar with a stop in the dramatic hilltop town of Ronda. A guided visit highlights the New and Old Bridges spanning the El Tajo Gorge and a walk through the Cuenca Gardens along the cliffside. After lunch at a local favorite, continue to the final stop on this cultural adventure, Gibraltar. After checking into The Rock Hotel, situated on the foothill of the Rock of Gibraltar, the evening is free to explore the British-Spanish blend of cultures or visit the local waterfront. B, L

DAY 12: GIBRALTAR HIGHLIGHTS

Today’s half-day tour of Gibraltar includes Europa Point, St. Michael’s Cave, and the Apes’ Den, where the local monkey population resides. Visit the WWII Tunnels and take in a 360-degree drive around the Rock, passing through Catalan Bay. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner as a group. B, D

Board a return flight home from Gibraltar. B

Other General Information
We will send 3 key communications for your tour; “Get Ready” is your email confirmation and initial tour information sent upon registration, “Get Set” mailing will be sent about three months before departure, “Go” trip documentation mailing is sent via USPS 3-4 weeks before departure and will include your daily itinerary, luggage tags, and final departure information.

Travel Protection is optional but highly recommended and can be purchased until the day before departure. We offer plans through battleface, information about which will be sent with your Get Ready email or can be found HERE.

Unless otherwise noted, your Sunrise Tour includes: Professional Sunrise Tour Director, meals as indicated, local step on guides including gratuity (international tour guide gratuity inclusion vary by tour), deluxe motorcoach transportation with onboard restroom, admission to activities and events as indicated, airfare from designated airports, transportation to/from designated airports from our convenient local pickup points*, luggage handling at hotels when available

We believe tipping is a personal and discretionary interaction between our guests and our staff. A typical gratuity for your Sunrise Tour Director and motorcoach driver may be $6-10 per person, per day on tour. Sunrise Shuttle drivers appreciate gratuities (suggest $5 per person) for excellent service as well. Our staff will not solicit gratuities or pass out envelopes.

We are happy to offer refreshments on most motorcoach travel days on tour. We recommend you bring a refillable water bottle to maintain healthy hydration.

If less than 4 people request a pickup point, we may ask that you choose another pickup point from which to join your Sunrise Tour.

If you would like to join a tour from a city not listed as a departure point, we would love to have you! Please discuss arrangements with our friendly reservation team. From a departure city not listed, typical airfare will be +$100 higher than our published fare for domestic tours, and +$200 for international tours.

If you have a TSA precheck or Airline Rewards numbers, you MUST give those numbers to our reservations team at least 60 days before departure, otherwise they may not be applied.

Preferred seating may not be available on group air. In some cases, seats are not assigned until the airport. Your tour fare includes an economy seat on the flight; it does not include seat selection. Seat upgrades may be available at an additional cost.

To help make our tours the most comfortable in the business, we limit Sunrise Tours motorcoaches to 80% capacity, or 44 passengers on a coach built for 55. We reserve the right to amend this practice.

Your Tour Director will rotate seats on the motorcoach each day of your tour. A single fare does not guarantee two seats on coach; you may be seated next to another friendly Sunrise Tours guest.
